The board is ultimately responsible for and represents the Foundation MENS. The board is authorized to decide on entering into agreements for the purchase, alienation, or encumbrance of real estate. The board is not authorized to decide on agreements in which the foundation acts as a guarantor or co-debtor, vouches for a third party, or provides security for a third party's debt. The authority to represent also belongs to two board members acting jointly.
Board members do not receive compensation for their activities. However, they are entitled to reimbursement for the expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
